My guess is the same way they could afford the food that made them fat. I have just returned from my weekly trip to the supermarket. I spent $71.24 on various items (all Atkins /low carb related) which included 21 lbs of meat. The lady in front of me weighed every bit of 300 lbs. Her two girls (11 & 13 or so) together weighed about 250 lbs or so. Her cart was filled to the top with cardboard boxes of prepared, ready to cook "food" and carbonated beverages.
