Richard, I enjoy all your posts. I assure you I was not saying Rimso was the culprit. I have not found Rimso in the Australian Mims, and wondered what DMSO might be called in this country's pharmacopeia if indeed it is used at all. I don't know exactly what the doctors gave this lady, she only called it sulphur, and I am quite sure it was not DMSO.
I would take DMSO if I could find it, probably (the probably has just popped up since reading about the smell), but i was just saying that I would be very wary of taking any "sulphur" a Dr (as opposed to anyone on this list) might prescribe after meeting that poor lady. Sorry to any Drs and their helpers, but more modest behaviour on Drs' part would inspire more faith on mine. In fact, when I was at someone's house some time later, discussing fibromyalgia, and was told that MSM, a sulphur preparation, was recommended I was hard to convince because of this lady's experience. I did accept the difference after reading a publication I was shown, and later bought some MSM, though I have been slow to take advantage of it. I had never heard of DMSO until joining this forum - soon learnt, though!
