Our mix [inclu some golden] is prone to hot spots around his rump area. Awful things and if they get going quite scary. The vet perscribes Neo-Predef and it has been helpful. Lately, I seem to be having pretty good luck with "drowning" the whole area with CS. I have a pint, former liquid dish soap bottle filled with home-made cs and at first sign, I really soak the whole area with cs. The spots seem to spread like wildfire somnetimes. If I can "spray" or shake the NeoP on the raw area, it does seem to take the sting out of it for Dodger. I would like to get some liq. lidocane [or Brooks says novacaine is similar] to include withg the cs to take the hurt out of it. If the dog wont leave the spot alone after treatment, ya may have to go with a collar.

I have been using the nasal irrigator (Grossan) for about 3 weeks and follow each irrigation with about 70 ml of CS, DMSO, MSM and GSE. My sinus is still draining but appears to be getting better. I have used the device as much as 4 times per day. Yearly dentist inspection came up with no cavities. I take at least 2 ounces CS per day and hold for at least 3 minutes. Eye DR saw small cataracts still even with me using CS + DMSO eye drops daily. Brickey
