Sorry all for this very dumb question, but I was playing around and put
together another generator. The power supply is a phone charger, 9V 450 ma.
For experimental purposes I used tap water, Connecting what I thought was the
positive power lead to the electrode I chose to be the positive one, tons of
bubbles immediately started coming off that electrode. Is this indeed the
positive power lead then? I know I've read this before but can't find it. For
this power supply both wires are black so I have no color coded wires to guide
me..........once I determine the positive lead, I'll mark it with red nail
polish........so I won't get confused again. Pls nobody think I plan to
actually make CS with tap water, this was just an experiment to "see" the
process, and find out which lead is the positive one.

TIA,
paula
