Hello, Members of the List. I was surfing the 'net and found a reference to a broad-spectrum biocide that is claimed to kill pathogens ranging from the common cold to AIDS. The active ingredient is parachlorometaxylenol (PCMX) and is distributed under the trade name EcoTru by EnviroSystems Inc. of San Diego ( www.ecotru.com).
A cruise line running between New England and Nova Scotia is using it to prevent SARS and sells it in their cruise shop. One cruise official has used it internally with good results. Does anyone know how PCMX compares to CS? Best regards, Matthew
