There is no logic to that idea (nor evidence). If I use CS with very small particles as a starter, I have only accomplished immediately what will happen anyway after a longer brewing time. I make 10 gallons per hour of CS for my business. Bob Berger tested my CS and said it had almost no *sparklies* (meaning very small particles). It is always crystal clear, batch after batch. I seed each batch with 1/4 CS and 3/4 DW. It also never degrades. I put a clear jar of it in the window, and it sat there all day in the direct sun for 15 months. At that point, it had a very faint, slightly yellow color to it.
