Sounds good Terry :) Congratulations on a process that seems to work
fine. There is logic and evidence that seeding can increase the size of
the particles in the batch like I said. That doesn't mean that it
always without fail does... See the difference? There is certainly no
logic to say that because it works for you that it will work for
everyone. Hey, if your process works that's the main thing for you.
Agglomeration adds to the particles that are already there in certain
processes where agglomeration occurs. Sounds like you have successfully
prevented agglomeration to any significant degree. If it works keep
doing it...

There is no logic to that idea (nor evidence). If I
use CS with very small particles as a starter, I have
only accomplished immediately what will happen anyway
after a longer brewing time.

I make 10 gallons per hour of CS for my business. Bob
Berger tested my CS and said it had almost no
*sparklies* (meaning very small particles). It is
always crystal clear, batch after batch. I seed each
batch with 1/4 CS and 3/4 DW. It also never degrades.
I put a clear jar of it in the window, and it sat
there all day in the direct sun for 15 months. At that
point, it had a very faint, slightly yellow color to
it.
