The language here is very tricky. They used the words "OTC drug products".
Colloidal Silver as we speak about it here on this list is not a drug. So,
in reality, they are not referring to CS at all in that sentence. It is
disgusting that they use Legalese to confuse the general public. It would
be classified with vitamins and herbs, etc. In general, if it is not
patented (or was in the past) it will probably not be a "drug" just because
of the huge amounts of money required to do all the appropriate testing.
Why spend the money when, once you have proven it safe, your competitor can
just copy you, as you do not hold a patent. As far as I am concerned, this
is just one of the ways for govs to attempt to control our access to natural
products.

An example of the silliness of some of the rules is that a package of
vitamin c cannot even make a claim that taking X amount per day, every day,
will prevent you from getting scurvy. How insane is that!! And they claim
that they are protecting us!! HUH!!!

"The FDA has issued a Final Rule declaring that all over- the-counter (OTC)
drug products containing colloidal silver or silver salts are not recognized
as safe and effective and are misbranded."

....not "reconized" as safe and effective.... doesn't mean they are un-safe
or in-effective and 99% of what they're talking about bears little or no
resemblance to what we make or 'intend' to buy. [ie, specifically,
"electrically isolated silver"]
