Teri,
Nutrition Almanac says "in the healing process, a bridge of tissue composed largely of protein fibers grows across the ends of the broken bones. Calcium and phosphorus then deposit among these protein fibers to form a new bone. The diet must therefore be high in protein and adequate in calcium and phosphorus. However calcium intake should not be unusually high..........Vitamin D intake must be adequate because it is essential for the absorption of calcium and phosphorus. . Potassium is required for cell formation, vitamin C ........and vitamin A helps to increase the rate of bone growth............"

As I peck left handed at my computer due to a broken wrist I seem to recall someone has posted about supplements to help with this type of healing. Any suggestions?
