Try animal supply stores. All pharmaceuticals, for people or for animals
are USP quality.

What's a good, cheap source of inulin?
Can we get it from food instead?
I find that paying $39.95 per month each and every
product that we supposedly need is extremely expensive.

Probiotics do not necessarily reestablish gut flora on the bowel
lining. They must be fed a suitable food to get them to proliferate.

The suitable food is inulin; sugar-free inulin is preferred by many.
The difference is that it grows vastly more flora than you would eat,
and it's a lot cheaper too.
