Propylene glycol is in ice cream and other foods. It is not anti-freeze although in sufficient quantities it causes CNS depression. Ethylene Glycol is anti-freeze and will kill dogs and cats, they drink it because it is sweet. Does not take much. There are safe alternatives for those who do not want to risk a leak around their pets.
