Mix in 10% DMSO to increase penetration of CS into the gums and tissues. Prickly Ash bark also helps with gum stuff. As well as grapefruit seed extract. Home Health used to have a tincture and a tooth powder called Ipsab that had Prickly Ash Bark in it. My husband used it to reduce his pockets from 6mm to 2mm in three months.
