Not trying to rock anyone's boat, but...
I can't prove a word I'm about to say, but I know whereof I speak.
DDD really is a disease. MSM will relieve some of the pains, but ultimately
will fail against this disease. No amount of minerals will stop it. All such
efforts will be temporary. I am not knocking these things- they are good
things to do and I do them.
MSM and minerals will detox the overworked muscles and to some extent
strengthen them. Half the pain of any arthritic condition is in the muscles
that are worked nearly to death from trying to hold damaged joints together.
If you don't actually kill the DDD, it will ultimately win this fight. You
end up either under the knife with diskectomies and fusions, or paralyzed,
or dead. Several of my friends and family have had the surgeries. One friend
is quadriplegic from surgery. One is dead at 46 years.

To kill DDD: saturate your body with Colloidal Silver and Iodine, and use
Beck Blood Electrification 2-6 hours a day/night for 6-8 weeks. That's how I
did it. Have your Beck unit ready before you saturate yourself with CS &
iodine. When the disease starts coming out of your spine it will go to your
skin. THAT GETS REALLY UGLY! Beating this disease takes more perserverance
than I can relate here.

That protocol still doesn't stop the pain of pinched nerves and damaged
muscles. Rebuilding muscle and cartilage is another matter. It can be done,
I've done it, I've regained nearly one inch of height in the past 15 months,
but that's all OT on this list so I'll stop there for now.

The one single thing that can be done that relieves the most back pain in
the fastest way is to take Branch-Chained Amino Acids, and a little creatine
monohydrate. Look into the work of Dr. Brice Vickery and his back pain
formula. Or, take any of a number of high quality Amino Acid supplements
that are marketed to Body Builders. IMHO, the best Amino Acid supplement is
Whey Protein, especially Whey Protein Isolate. Amino Acids will strengthen
the back but will NOT stop DDD.
