Because I sell 9999 silver wire on eBay I get a lot of people asking for advice on making CS.

And, do you use sea-salt? If not, what process do you use? Type of generator? Thanks. Kenneth" I'm thinking of making this my "stock" answer: Do not use salt. Never. The more silver in the water the better. Just run your generator until you can see the laser beam in the water in normal room light and before it becomes a noticeable yellow. This will confirm the presence of plenty of good silver particles and by the time you see this you will have generated lots of ions as well. In the days before we had laser pointers we would run the process until the solution turned yellow in order to know that we had actually made colloidal silver. The laser allows us to see the particles while they are still very small. Smaller particles are considered as being more useful for their greater total surface area and perhaps their ability to go more places.
