I have been researching colloidal gold for the past year and would like to pass on to the group what I have recently found. Making one pint at a time with the distilled water heated to about 180 degrees, the gold rods 1-1/4 inches apart and a vented cap, since some gold is lost in the vapor, I apply 15,000 VAC. I have a timer that turns off the relay to the HVAC after 2 hours and turns on a 30 VDC power supply to the rods for one hour. There is no sign of any gold in the water with a laser until about 10 minutes after the 30 VDC is applied. After one hour on the DC, the tyndall effect is as bright as the CS that I make in two hours using 15,000 VAC. I am pleased with the results I have heard back from those I have given it to, to use. I still have to get it tested and see if I can reduce the time required to make it. I assume at this time that the high voltage prepares either the water or the gold rods and the 30VDC is causing the reaction to take place. More than an hour on the DC will cause less of a tyndall effect. Perhaps the gold is redepositing back on the rod.
