But that is EXACTLY what they do!

It created the "Consumer" (wastemaker) Society.
Allowed peasants to become as rich as Lords and most importantly, to be
able to "one-up" those stuck-up Jones' down the road, with THIS years
model........
It allowed the life expectancy of items that didn't even exist a few years
before, to be equated with the lousy guarantees that came with them.
