Generously and carefully are not necessarily opposing concepts. Learn what is being dealt with under what conditions and both words can cohabitate the same sentence without conflict. Otherwise, it's like flying in the dark. I 'personally' would not hesitatate to substitute 5- PPM CS for water like I would with 50+ PPM CS. Aside from CS itself, a good Herx, regardless of PPM and volume consumed, can be dangerous.
I'd say, Be careful till you learn your personal limits of generous. Once you know that the wind isn't a hurricane and map out the trees, then, you can maybe throw caution to it without going on a thrill ride.
