Actually I recall somewhere an article about passive defence strategies and
that very point was in it.
The Russians did a lot with infra-red detection in Afghanistan. A friend
of mine told me that the Afghan opposition was so good that they were able
to knockout the Russians before they could find them at long range. They
could almost see in the dark.
(No western food and damn little of what they did get, would help that
effect a lot)
I hope someone comes up with a non-specific overall general radiation
deflector soon for civilian wear......
