The combination of CS/DMSO seemed to help Walker with the itching - seems to
keep it from being as itchy and after the first day he left it alone. I
used as much as 1/3 DMSO to 2/3 CS and applied it with cotton pads. After
the initial cleaning with soap and water to get the gunk off and the dead
hair out, I never washed it again but just used the CS/DMSO mixture about 3
times a day. (Long story but he had a huge hotspot from below his jaw
almost to his sternum that had been ignored when he was boarded so it was a
real stinky, matted, oozy mess when I picked him up.)

I sprayed some CS on one of Lucky's spots and then we went for a long walk,
he didn't seem bothered at all. I just checked on him and he had been biting
the area and it seems worse now---ACK!

I sure hope when I start making my own and spraying him down in earnest it
doesn't make it worse.

Forever fretting---
