Ever since I had mononucleosis at the age of 17, during which my neck
glands were hideously swollen for many weeks, if not months (it was
LONG time ago, dinsosaurs may have roamed the earth) my neck hurts in
the areas where the glands are or used to be, but they have never
swollen since.
Any comments or thoughts on how or why this could be?

Best chance for softening the hard lymph node is to apply castor oil to
the area.
Do a small castor oil "pack" so there is plenty of oil in the area.
This means to
saturate a flannel cloth of several thicknesses with the oil and apply
it to the area
for a period of time. Can also use heat.

Someone posted that Xylotol---a sugar derived from the Beech
tree---was
very effective. It makes the CS/DMSO taste swee too. I bought some
but
have yet to mix a batch, as my chronic sinus has been acceptible for a
while.
A rock-hard lymph node is cause for concern, particularly if it
remains
so for a week or more. Were it I, I would take a lot of CS with a bit
of DMSO orally; then see a Medical Practicioner if it had not returned
to normal
