My wife uses Sweet & Low; for years I used saccharin then decided to go with
no-sweetener and that's what I'd suggest your husband try--he'll actually be
able to enjoy the taste of the coffee or tea better.

  Stevia is really good, with no known side effects (as far as I know), but
I find, it can create a saccharine-like aftertaste if you don't use just the
right amount.  I hope it's better than the other sweetners, my hubby has
diabetes and uses it regularly.
