Not only not toxic to the nervous system, but beneficial.  We use CS to treat 
EPM in horses.  In order to treat the disease, CS must cross the BBB -- and 
it does.  I have no way of knowing whether these horses have access to citric 
acid, or whether there is a difference between horses and people, but the 
brains of these horses are being HELPED -- not hurt.      MA
