I tried Whole Foods Spectrum Organic Canola -- it was the worst tasting
oil I have EVER had. I returned it and told them that it tasted like the
worst rancid product I have ever tasted.

As well Garden of Eaten chips, at least once a year, taste like rancid
canola.

I now make my own chips and I use, gasp!, bacon grease! It is fine if it
is not hydrogenated, so I use my own rendered pork fat. I also use Tea
Oil but it is way $$$$ and organic Grape Seed Oil, also $$$$ -- but
they do not form trans fats, Peanut Oil does even though it can take
high temps, and if it is not cold pressed well the heat extraction
process is not good. Not to mention possible contamination with mold
toxins, a risk even with organic peanuts. Can lead to liver cancer
latter in life.

I stopped eating peanut butter a few years ago when I learned about the
mold issue. Interestingly after going through withdrawal they did not
hold the same allure. I had been totally addicted to eating organic
apples with organic peanut butter.
