This claim seems exaggerated. Recent reports indicate that at least
some allergic symptoms derive from a lack of certain essential
microorganisms in the gut. Remarkably, these bugs are involved in
turning off the immune response IN THE LUNGS. It seems people
routinely swallow allergens (and pathogens) taken into the mouth, and
gut bacteria provide an essential "diagnosis" of these things.
What you say here really might frighten some people unnecessarily I
think.
