Perhaps, Nina, but... First, there is CS' magical ability to promote the creation of stem cells and promote healing that's talked about from time to time. There's also an obvious benefit to sanitizing the region, given hemorrhoids' tendency to bleed. I won't be surprised if the DMSO turns out to be doing the heavy lifting.
