Er, doesn't that mean the silver is a catalytic reducer of HP? [Take that to say what I mean rather than mean what I said...oxidizing and reducing sometimes comes out logically backwards for me]

That is why silver is considered a catalyst, H2O2 will evolve it's oxygen with most of the silver returning back to metallic silver in the process. That is also why when added to EIS, the tyndall becomes weaker, but does not disappear, the large particles of silver disappear, and small ones are formed instead.
