You're so right about the acid foods. After I got rid of the bacteria, I took a vitamin C tablet, and that brought the burning right back. Now I'm trying to get rid of the effects of the acid.
The vitamin C tablet I found after much collecting of different products, and muscle testing, is exactly the one you mentioned--buffered with calcium ascorbate. It is time-release as well. You can get the 50 mg. containers of D-mannose from the Tahoma Clinic Dispensary (1-888-893-6878), www.tahoma-clinic.com. There are several other sources, but last time I checked this was the least expensive. I have a wonderful booklet on the use of D-Mannose for bladder infections. I think I ordered it from the Tahoma Clinic as well. The title is D-MANNOSE & BLADDER INFECTION, by Jonathan Wright, M.D. and Lane Lenard, Ph.D. Jill
