I was reading the posts on making your own Sodium Ascorbate and it says to use baking soda. I believe it was Mashall who said it was sodium hydroxide that is mixed with the acid (vitamin C).
I make my own soap and I use sodium hydroxide (Lye) in that process - very very carefully. It is definitely not baking soda. So, my question is this - which is it? I would think the end product would be different depending on which one you use and I don't want to drink the wrong thing.
