That's an intermittent problem with the list software and I have no 
clue of its origin or how to solve it.

If you're using sbcglobal web mail, which is what I suspect from 
examining the headers on your message, you can tell it to compose as 
plain text only.

Click on the Mail Options link at the right side of the mail page. 

Click on General Preferences under Personalization. 

Under Composing E-mails, select Compose messages as plain text.

Finally, click Save.

When you compose new mails, they should be plain text.

I'm sure similar features are available on nearly all mail programs and 
services.
