The text (bound books) version of the Oxford English Dictionary is very
expensive.
It is available online by subscription, also expensive:

Complete 20 vol set, 850 british pounds, or $1546.24 in U.S. dollars.
http://store.dictionaryoutlet.com/oxendic20vol.html limited time offer
$995.00 U.S. dollars
The CD version is much cheaper, so that is what we bought ourselves a
few years ago in a fit of extravagance. But we forgot the need to
continually update to a new version as operating systems change, we have
the windows 95 version and it doesn't always work smoothly with windows
XP...........And I myself am a book person, I very much miss being able
to page through actual book volumes.

Respected Sol,
Where can we get the OED, or:
Can you obtain one for this Dutchee teacher of English?
We'll arrange the cost (rather beforehand) for purchase and sending;
it would be THAT extension I am in want of, preparing to pick up
writing books and things in English again, in two years .. after being
pensioned off.
