I've made a batch or two that stabilized at 79 uS and remained colorless.
[and several more that didn't]
 It's a bit hard to say what color it *isn't* as it reflects room colors
like mad, especially yellow from wood work.
 Since a meter only reads the ionic portion and the stronger you go, the
greater the TE [suspended particles], the meter reading accuracy [comparing
conductivity apples to PPM oranges] will slide off towards reading low.

..and no TE, a meter will likely read a little higher than actual PPM...

79 uS with a laser beam/TE  you can stand on [ crystal clear in the shade,
but like dilute skim milk in the sun] is 'probably' around 100 PPM...and
good luck getting there in a repeatable manner.

 There is a chance but it's a "fat" one.     :-)
