No this isn't a 'hoax'. This is just an example of the type of misinformation that is routinely espoused by sources such as these. In this case a topic was chosen that could be shown to be false technologically . When the topic is how eeeeevil the govt, certain persons, particularly hated companies, etc are then any refutation can easily be discarded as 'merely opionion by an obvious idiot'.

Maybe ya'll should look at your sources of the hatred you seem to be addicted to with more of a critical eye. Doing your 'due diligence' generally consists of a bit more research that following links referenced by your hate monger of choice.

When the FDA does it you call it an insideous and dangerous lie. When your selected internet oracle does it you call it a revelation.

By the way...what ever happened to the Great Codex Pogrom that was screamed about all summer? I haven't noticed any Jack-Booted Thugs cleaning out the local GNC lately. Did I miss the rescheduling memo? Maybe the JBT is waiting for the distraction provided by Nibiru to do their dirty work?

According to Snopes, this is a hoax: http://www.snopes.com/computer/internet/dellbug.asp

For a "techie" it should be pretty easy to get ahold of an actual Dell 600m laptop and find out if it is true.

LOGGERS INTO ALL NEW LAPTOP COMPUTERS!

I guess I won't be getting any new computers.
