Alas! We have a government like most (only "third world"???) countries have.
Give you one example: When a devastating hurricane had already threatened
the island for days, and was (via the weather channel) visible long before,
our chosen gvmnt started warning the people SIX hours before it would hit.
Only those listening to personal warnings, and those who are innately alert
had prepared themselves.
See what I mean? Like elsewhere, corruption runs high, and those elected are
most of the time less than mediocre, and the kind of politicians that know
only the art of "falling upwards" as we say in Dutch.
Like when HIV came: It was denied, it was silenced, and the truth came out
by the re-searching press, when it was too late.
Any other example will do.There is just NO trusting these "governants".
As I said before: I practise and advocate NOT TO PANIC. And to learn what
there is to learn about personal vigilance against this hazard, and then to
live as healthily as possible.
The news about the first case may have been a hoax, it may not have been. I
am not a news-paper reader, for the multiple lies and bent truths that are
produced (was in their midst as a reporter there myself, know what I am
talking about). Now I am obliged to keep alert, and take control MYSELF of
what happened, for my beloved ones.
{from my messages one might gather that I am an uglily bitter person. Well
it is not exactly so. I just carefully live by the dictum the late Charles
Spencer Chaplin often repeated: "I have been through a hellufalot."}
