Hi Sol,

What did you do? Did you remove the amalgam or the gold?

Mine don't touch. I read one artlicle where they discussed gold crowns OVER amalgam. Perhaps there is amalgam under my gold crown?

I'm almost to the point where I'm going to go into my dentist's office with some literature printed out and tell him to find an "excuse" for removing the gold crowned tooth that will be covered by our insurance. Or, I might just have to put a trip to Mexico on credit (I hate that) and worry about paying it off later.

Hopefully, my health will be better after the mercury comes out and I'll be more inclined/able to find a part time job. (youngest is now 3 so I can work part time while he's in school if I wanted to).

I'm so inclined to go to Mexico because every time I've had one or two of my mercury fillings switched out for composits I get REALLY, REALLY sick. I must be really sensitive to the mercury. If I go to Mexico I get the protection of Huggin's protocol and I get it all done and over with in one day.

In my experience with galvanic shocks between amalgam fillings and a gold crown, the only time I felt the shock was when the teeth surfaces touched each other. And I never had any period when the teeth could touch without a shock. It was quite painful, and the pain echos would last a long time. My dentist, luckily had no trouble believing me.

These shocks happen about 6-10 times an hour and when one hits I am in a great deal of pain. They last for probably a fraction of a second but they really, really hurt. This will go on for 24-48 hours, even through the night, then go away. These episodes come on about once a month.
