If you put in too much salt in your CS, it will also
burn your eyes. To make a saline solution, the ratio
is one teaspoon of salt to one quart of water. To
prepare a small amount of eye-wash CS (like two or
three ounces) would mean usually a very tiny bit of
salt, like what would stick onto the tip of a wetted
finger that was lightly dipped into some salt.
This usually resolves the burning-eye experience with CS.
