I was at a support group for people with auto immune
disease. WE had a guest speaker that was a doctor. He
shared some interesting information regarding hep
vaccines. HE said that there are cases where it has
triggered "flares" in people with lupus like
illnesses.He also said that adolescents that had been
given the shot who were the offspring of parents with
auto immune diseases had sometimes started to display
symptoms of the illness shortly after vaccination.
There was a woman who attended the conference that had
lupus.She said that her daughter had never had any
signs of lupus until two weeks after the hep shot.
I know personally of two health care providers who had
bad reactions after the shot. ONe person had swelling
in her arm from her wrist to her shoulder ..Another
person I know of, had some muscular problems shortly
after the shot and was told by her doctor that the
shot was suspect in her symptoms. She has had therapy
and has recovered somewhat but is still suffering from
the risidual effects. Who know if the shots really had
anything to do with this but it makes you wonder.
