My Bowen therapist was delighted one time to hear I'd found the Lectric Soda (Cedel, Australia) that he'd been looking for fruitlessly for a while. He used it therapeutically for aches and pains. If I saw some, I would buy it. "Washing and Bath Crystals" said the package. Sodium Carbonate the active ingredient. I would use it sometimes instead of Epsom Salts in the bath.
Looking it up on the net just now, I am quite flummoxed to see Sodium Carbonate described as Washing Soda, for which one needs to wear gloves! Caustic and alkaline, it says. The same shop will sell Washing Soda on one shelf and Cedel's Sodium Carbonate as "Lectric Soda" on another. Now when I look at a site with a list of Cedel products, I see they call it Lectric WASHING Soda. Apparently if you need to make your dog vomit you put a piece of the crystal down it's throat. (net info!) And there is an unconfirmed report that it helps reduce oedema after knee replacement surgery. Do any of you know the right of this? Anyone use Sodium Carbonate in their bath waters? Is there a version that is not glove territory? Rowena -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver.
