'Cool Mist' Humidifier manufacturers are now making silver impregnated
filters to prevent mold and bacterial buildup on the wick.
 Look for "Agion" technology.

Most ultrasonic humidifers use an ion exchange resin filter to purify the
water.
It should be removed or gutted if trying to use CS in the humidifier.

Some very small ultrasonics use a wick to deliver the water to the
vibrating plate with an ion exchange resin filter before it.

Warm mist humidifers 'cook' the water to sterilize it. [Zero CS pass through]

CS can be used to purify the water in any humidifier.
Since I did gut the filter in my ultrasonic and use coffee paper filtered
rain water when not going for straight CS, I add a dollop of CS to the rain
water.

What sending CS straight through a humidifier does for the room content of
bacteria and mold, I dunno.
..can't hurt.

It's likely that only an ultrasonic with submerged vibrating plate, sans
filter, will deliver CS to the air.
Wick / swamp cooler 'cool mist' types, sans ion exchange and carbon
filters "might" deliver 'some'.

Old fashioned straight impeller water tossers should do OK too. [I haven't
seen any for sale for years and years]
