Energizing water via ones hands is as old as the Catholic Church. When a priest does it, it is called Holy Water. Anyone can energize water with prayer or directed intent I believe, and they can also apply Reiki. However the effect of Reiki is significatnly different that that of prayer, but both seem to gain special properties. I have run experiments with a scanning photospectrometer which prove that both prayer as well as Reiki affect the water's absorption spectrum, primarily in the ultraviolet..
