I had a brother-in-law who wouldn't willingly go to a doctor but finally his pain caused him to go. Unsure of what was wrong, the doctor diagnosed ulcers and gave him Tagamet, which helped immensely. Later the doctor decided he didn't have ulcers and took the Tagamet away, despite my sister pleading with him to let her husband have the medicine. Later, after many spells, he was rushed to the Veteran's hospital in Big Spring, TX. He had bleeding and intense pain. Unable to diagnose, they then rushed him to Dallas, TX, where he had surgery for what they was sure was cancer. Turned out it was a gigantic ulcer that had eaten away part of his stomach and intestine. He made it through surgery but he was proud and stoic, which was his downfall. By the time he was in pain, the pain medication wouldn't help him. After 5 days or so, he died.
I don't care for any doctors but am willing to allow them to try to diagnose for awhile. Guess it is a matter of how much pain a person can stand? Jean *********** >> I wish, he won't go to a doctor.
