This occurred to me too. Possible too much of a good thing? I like the idea of rotating CS use prophalactically. A quart a day sounds like a bit much unless you feel very ill. One's immunity should be built up and not just killing microbes. It goes back to the old argument regarding improving one's physiological terrain to help defend itself or simply killing off any and every microbe you encounter with another substance. The allopathic tradition has it's foundation in the latter. It comes down to a balance, I think.

CS works, I use it and so do countless others. But I am not going to bring myself or my family to the brink of a health disaster based on my stubborn belief that it is a perfect medicine. Just like there are mainstream medicines, like antibiotics, that do not work against every bacteria, CS should not be expected to be a panacea for all ills. Perhaps in the case of you and your daughter you encountered a bug that was resistant. Maybe your CS is not made as well as it could be. Maybe by long term use of CS the microbes have adapted and mutated. Adaptation and mutation of microbes is very common in the world and is indisputable. Why should CS be exempt from this phenomena? Anyone who claims to have all the answers regarding CS..how to make it, how to use it, etc.. would have a credibility problem in my eyes. No one knows with any certainty how CS will behave across the board. My suggestions is to first and foremost CYCLE the use of CS. Do not use it daily and forever. Based on clinical studies and research for absoultely any anti-microbial agent, we know that microbes evolve in an attempt to survive. This has created super bugs that are resistant to some of the biggest and baddest medicines we possess. I believe that if we use CS long term and daily we are provideing an environment for mutation. Eventually, you may become super infected and will have a hell of a time fighting off resistant strains of microbes. The Bird Flu adapts in 24 hours!!! 24 Hours, and that damn bug is now reisitant to any anti viral we throw at it. Scary, huh? Maybe CS would kill it. But if you have a bio-system created by endless use of CS, some microbes may be totally at home and unaffected. I don't KNOW this. But, the reasoning applies , because it is a proven mechanism throughout nature and orthodox medicine. Use CS during the Fall through Spring. Maybe 3 days on, 2 days off. Use it when you know you have been exposed to a sick person, have been in a large group of people, or expect to be. Things like that. Don't drink it like it was the Fountain of Youth, forever and ever. Just my take..do what you like. -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver.
