Ernie -- I wouldn't assume that Corning would be the least bit interested in 
good health.  Like most big companies, I would assume that Corning would be 
MOST interested in profit.  So I have to think that for some reason, the 
Visionware wasn't selling as well as it needed to.  Therefore I would be 
wondering 
what other drawbacks there are to this cookware -- is it difficult to handle?  
was it's popularity just a fad?  We just bought a second-hand set of sauce 
pans.  I'm looking forward to trying them out.  I don't think there is probably 
much difference between microscopic uncleanliness between glass and stainless 
steel, so I'm not concerned about that.  But my old set of stainless is just 
about worn out -- and it seems like teflon-coated cookware is almost all that 
is
