Several days ago I used poison ivy killer on a few
plants I found growing up a maple tree, under a tulip
tree, under the magnolia, and behind the barn. I
didn't go closer than 3 feet to any of them. I mowed
the lawn day before yesterday and it was so dry and
everything was blowing all around me. Yesterday I
found four patches of poison ivy rash on my arms. I'm
guessing that I mowed over tiny plants mixed in the
grass (which is 1/2 weeds anyway) and the tiny pieces
flew up and hit me. I can't think of any other way I
could have come into contact with any, unless there is
a plant in the fenced part of the yard and our dog
touched it. I don't think it's a good idea to use
something like WD 40, but in desperation, I did. I
put it on all four places and left it on for a while.
I washed dishes in the meantime, washing the WD 40 off
the rash on my hand immediately. This a.m., the only
place itching is the one on my hand. I keep putting
colloidal silver on them too, don't know if it does
any good, but couldn't hurt.

I looked for jewelweed behind the yard where I found
some poison ivy, but all we have is honeysuckle and
something resembling a blackberry vine.

I've got to find something that works. Last summer I
couldn't exercise at the Y pool for two weeks and I'm
not able to do much else with this bad knee. Will try
the Rhus tox and Zanfel soon as I can get them.

                                 Pat
