We've been giving our horse a quart of 20 PPM daily for many years. No
infections so far. He's 30 and still sound in his joints so I have no idea
about arthritis but for sure it hasn't harmed him.

Topical use is obviously worthwhile. Possibly, intervenous
administration of the properly produced silver preparation would be as
good or better than antibiotics in some cases.
I don't know if oral administration is compatible with horse's
digestion. They're not actually ruminants, right? We know that CS could
interfere with the bacteria essential to the fermentation that takes
place in cows' stomachs, for instance.
