Welcome Ann! I've taken the liberty of renaming this thread.

**OOPS! I'll learn.

I'm a newbie, here to try to learn stuff about CS.

Well, despite a minor discipline matter that I'm in the process of
quelling, that's exactly what we're here for! I'm proud to say it's
probably the first actual "moderating" I've had to do in a few months.
This is generally a pleasingly well behaved group. <smile>

**I have been on lots and lots of maining lists and have seen this happen
over and over. Eventually things calm down usually :-)

I have Lyme's Disease either for the third time, or a chronic case of
some many years duration.

Some of our premiere members are (former) Lymies. You're in good
company. There are quite a few things besides CS that can help you,
which I'm sure you'll hear about as we go along.

**I would be very interested in hearing about any and all of them.....

Questions: What is a properly produced silver preparation?

We generally strive for a clear, colorless (or nearly so) solution with
a mild Tyndal effect that indicates some amount of small particles, the
balance being ionic silver. From "a few" ppm up to 20 ppm or so is fine
as far as concentration is concerned.

What we encourage most folks to do is buy or build a generator and make
their own. That way you can be confident of how your CS was produced
and that it is pure and potent.

**This is what we have done. We own two generators starting with a down level and now owning one (costs more) that makes smaller particles. We use Distilled sterile water, etc., etc. I would love to know how to determine the CS content of the finished product. Is there a method to test and find out? Sorry to be such
a questioning person but would welcome any suggestions ....

There are a handful of good brands of bottled CS out there, but none
will be as good a value as home-brewed. Many other brands are of
unknown quality and exhorbitantly priced. We'll do our best to steer
you right, whatever you choose to do.

**Right now we are making our own, but open to all kinds of technical
suggestions.

What happens to the fermentation that takes place in human stomachs?
Do probiotics help the problem?

If you take a *lot* of CS, it can disturb the flora in your stomach and
intestines. Sometimes that's desireable, as in cases of food poisoning
or severe diarhea. The CS can get to the problem and clear it up.

**Already taking the probiotics but my gastric problems continue too!!!

In general we depend on the fact that food will re-populate the gut
pretty fast, just from normal handling and normal sanitary
shortcomings, *and* that CS is much less mobile, therefore much less
effective, in the denser medium of the feces.

**Are you reminding me that the CS is effective when it "happens" to
encounter the pathogen as opposed to permeating the entire contents
of the gut? I am hoping it is going to encounter the spirochetes too. Since
I have been infected a long time, I'm hoping it will meet up with the enemy
and not just charge through my system and out without any effect. Antibiotics -
all of them - make me sick.

So, the upshot is that some yogurt or probiotics can be taken as a
precaution or as needed to repopulate the gut. In general, though,
routine small doses can be taken without serious concern, or so it
seems from the general experience here.

If there are websites that would help me learn such things, I would
appreciate being sent in that direction.

There are some good ones, including those of some of our members. I'll
let other folks pipe up with them and their own input to your
questions.

Welcome aboard, ma'am. You're asking great questions. Keep it up!

Be well!

Mike D.

**Thanks a lot.
