Hi Terry, I have a book on Chia and the Latin name identified it precisely. The book must be about 20 years old, while your information goes back up to eleven years. Wish I could find this book because the moment I read it, tried to find the exact same genus but it was already nearly extinct it seemed. Pretty sure it was called generically, Golden Chia but this doesn't tell you much.
