I have had two joint replacements and I use a 50%/50% mixture of cayenne
tincture and DMSO I put in a roll-on bottle. I do get some stinging from
the cayenne but the relief is greater. Too much heat? lemon juice will
remove it, but take care on where you put in on and how much will run
down. If you need to adjust the mix 30/70% DMSO is great to start out
with.
I make my own tincture from 130,000 HU cayenne pepper powder (I buy bulk
by the pound) and 80 proof vodka. I would prefer 100 proof but it is
scarce and costly.
