We need advice on how to neutralize poison ivy juice! Is there anything we can
do?? My son was cutting wood with a chain saw and then realized there were
furry vines on the trees, and pulled them off. He apparently got poison ivy
(or poison oak) juice sprayed all over his arm while cutting. Now, a week and
two days later, his arms which were almost solid swollen patches of poison ivy
are better, but then last night his leg broke out in dozens of spots. It's on
his tummy too...he figures he must have scratched while wearing the gloves.
He's washed the jeans 3 times...then wore them yesterday. He doesn't know what
to do about the boots and the mallet handle and chain saw. I threw the gloves
away.
