The premise was about silver hitting the air, not vice versa, though some
do bubble air through their silver water as it's being made and that does
produce "some" silver carbonates and sulphates, but far less than using
tarnished spoons.
Putting silver into the air doesn't make silver nitrates, however, an
improperly operated HVAC generator can make them and there are a few
commercial producers who are doing just that and don't know it.
Which is in itself a good reason to make your own, so you know how it was
made and hopefully, what it is.
Doing it "right" is the primary purpose of this list.
Frank Key, a member of this list, publishes free product reports using
state of the art equipment to analyze commercially sold samples so people
can at least *hope* to distinguish between the good, the bad and the
ignorant.

There's an outfit just a mile down the road that makes "CS" by the drum for
re-packaging via a "Chemical Precipitate Method"
Only God and those guys knows what THAT stuff is, or who sells it where.
