I have never had any breast issues at all and I have been on Synthroid for 
about 25 years. I really don't avoid iodine though.

        Strange, because from the articles Doris sent me, having insufficient 
iodine is what *causes* cancer, especially breast.  Apparently, the breast 
needs 100 times the amount of iodine that the thyroid does, and that needs a 
lot to function properly. Dee

        No, I don't. I think the idea behind the Synthroid was they didn't want 
my thyroid to work, and possibly create another tumor. They took-out over half 
of the thyroid. The doctors told me to avoid iodine.  I really haven't avoided 
it, but I don't supplement with it.
